Ward Service Day

Saturday we had a Ward Service Day at Hukilau Beach and
filled a many large bags with trash.

After we picked up the beach and repainted the wall we had
some fun games. Water ballon fights were a hit, followed
by a delicious BBQ that Bishop Mahoni oversaw.

Afterwards Elder Garff and I discovered an "off the beaten path"
beach not far from our home. It has numerous trails and we were
astounded at this enormous banyan tree.It doesn't even fit in this photo.

Imagine our surprise when we came out of this wooded area
to discover

This gorgeous, calm, beach. It is perfect for
swimming. We are definitely coming back.

  1. Bill and Karen -- I loved looking through your blog. Looks like your mission experience is quite different from ours, where we are mostly working with less-actives, and some proselyting as well. We will start teaching an institute class in March, and we will also start having YSA meetings at our flat next week. Probably neither of us misses the cold and snow very much. Keep up the good work. I look forward to another bike ride sometime in 2018 when we can have fun with mission memories. Keep the faith!!
