Closest We Will Get to the Philippines for Now

This is the booth at the Filipino Club recruitment table. For 2 days
all the clubs on campus recruit for membership. Since there are over 70
countries represented here, there are a lot of clubs. We plan to visit
the Philippines when we get off our mission.

This is Bill's new office. It is 4 shipping containers. When BYUH's Academic
Advisors needed to move into Bill's old office this is where they
put the Construction/Planning Dept. It is very hard to get building
permits in Hawaii, and so this was the quickest solution.

They crammed everyone in this space. It is quite noisy. But on
the plus side, Bill is close to his colleagues which improves
department communication.

At least bill's desk has a window.

Here are sone of the finished duplexes Bill is in charge of.
They are for faculty housing.
They have a nice porch or lanai, 4 bedrooms, and a garage.

There are nice, roomy kitchens...

lots of closet space and a window vent you can see above the door,
which allows for added airflow. The roof attic has a huge fan that
pulls all the hot air out of the house.
With the windows facing the prevailing trade winds, the
homes stay quite cool even without air-conditioning. The duplexes
are rented at a very reasonable rate for Hawaii.

The princess of Tonga came to visit and this was her coach.

The red carpet was definitely rolled out.
